1. Job market is dry in my area, making finding any kind of work very difficult. So, it's time to rebuff my portfolio. The occasional odd-job fixing computers helped to cover the barest minimum, but even that has run thin.
2. My computer died a glorious, electrified death. The power supply fried every... single... component... in its death throes. So, now I'm starting from scratch. 5 years of work--poof! Aside from what I've got posted on here, there's nothing left.
3. My new computer kicks major ass, and it can run anything I throw at it with great speed and efficiency. Athlon64, 1GB of RAM, and a GeForce 6800.
4. Hurricanes battered Florida, but we were lucky enough to have survived with very little damage, and we weren't long without power.
5. I got a Wacom Graphire 4x5 tablet and a Konica-Minolta DiMage Z1 digital camera for my birthday. Combined with my new PC, I have some great tools to bring together some interesting artwork. I'm pretty excited about it.
Let's get started!
